Vicky Mills

Vicky Mills

Co-Founder & CEO

Following an extensive international career in business strategy and management, Vicky has also spent the last six years applying her acumen and strategic planning expertise to the Solar Schools Energy Educational Program. Working in partnership with schools, Vicky informed, co-designed and implemented a holistic education platform that is aligned with Australia's curriculum but, more importantly, works hand in hand with schools' structures. She believes that challenges cannot be solved by thinking alone — action is a must! Vicky started Zero Positive to create a global movement of change through thinking + action. "If not you, then who?!" is her motto, which inspires individuals to make a big difference through a series of small, but significant, actions.

Rob Breuer

Rob Breuer

Chief Sustainability Officer

After reflecting on the changes he witnessed in the natural environment from a lifetime of adventuring, Rob has a newfound sense of urgency regarding climate change. After meeting Dave Aaskov from Radian, and a small group of other passionate people, he created the genesis of a program that he believed could effect the change required. Together with Dave and Remy, Zero Positive has become a reality — a program that's able to solve the challenges that schools face in becoming climate neutral. Simply put, he believes this program can accelerate schools' abilities to create tangible impacts and positive environmental outcomes — the change agents we need to start reversing the current future we face with climate change.

From her experience working in schools, and her degree in business and environmental science, she believes that knowledge and education give us the power to change the world. Her involvement in the film and tv industry has also convinced her that the media can influence people's behaviours and motivate them to collaborate and advocate for positive change: "If we can reach young people through the media, we can encourage them to make a positive change for the environment".

Shelley has a proven ability to drive commercial outcomes, with record-high marketing campaign response rates for tier-1 national clients within the sectors of retail, tourism, automotive, wagering and FMCG. Despite working in a corporate, city-based world, she has always dreamed of one day embracing a self-sufficient lifestyle and going completely off-grid. Since then, she has worked globally delivering environmental sustainability projects in the corporate, community, government and not-for-profit sectors, holding senior management positions at organisations including WWF, Greening Australia and the National EnviroDevelopment Program. Plastic Oceans Australasia is a proud partner of Zero Positive that focuses on waste management delivery through education, business and science, Ricki and the POA team work to stem the tide of plastic entering our oceans.

Being country raised, Reg had an early awareness of the environmental challenges faced by his generation, determined to leave our planet in a better condition than we found it.

Charles Alder

Charles Alder

Charles and his wife Tracy launched the highly successful 'Buy a Bale' campaign in 2013, as a call out to all Australians to buy fodder for struggling farmers. Since then, their charity Rural Aid has raised $100m to support farmers and rural communities. Believing that his legacy is to leave the world a better place than he inherited, Charles is putting his skills into developing Ecoforce, a business that will span the world, plant trees and kelp to sequester carbon, support farmers in their path to regenerative agriculture and provide tens of millions of people with an avenue to effect real environmental change. He supports Zero Positive because the program engages people who are passionate about making change, and are prepared to do what it takes to see it through.
